Commercial Insurance Brokers (Pvt) Ltd is one of the prominent and leading brokers having generated a business turnover of Rs. 2.5 Billion in the year 2019 in General and Life Insurance, according to the statistics of the Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka. We have been in the brokering services since 1987 with excellent record worthy stability, supported by knowledgeable and experienced staff along with an island wide branch network equipped with infrastructure facilities.
Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka is the governing body of our company and all insurance related activities are carried out in accordance with its guidelines.
Founded in 1987
Our Company was incorporated in 1987 under the Companies Act No. 17 of 1982 as a private limited liability company styled Commercial Insurance Services (Pvt) Ltd.
In February 1993, the name of the Company was changed to Commercial Insurance Brokers (Pvt) Ltd. (CIBL) for better identification of our activity as an Insurance Broker registered with the Ministry of Finance in terms of legislation in force.
