Commercial Insurance Brokers (Pvt) Ltd., established in 1987, is one of the leading and most prominent insurance brokers in Sri Lanka, is a fully owned subsidiary of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, which is Sri Lanka’s largest private bank and one of the most awarded financial institutions in the country.

Our Company was incorporated in 1987 under the Companies Act No. 17 of 1982 as a private limited liability company styled Commercial Insurance Services (Pvt) Ltd.
In February 1993, the name of the Company was changed to Commercial Insurance Brokers (Pvt) Ltd. (CIBL) for better identification of our activity as an Insurance Broker registered with the Ministry of Finance in terms of legislation in force.
